As a Graphic Design Intern, you won’t just learn how creative ideas come to life—you’ll help bring them to life. Through graphic design projects, brand-focused initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration, you’ll be a trusted contributor on a team dedicated to creativity, visual storytelling, and strengthening the BHI brand. Requirements

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related design field
Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, color, layout, and branding
Basic knowledge of print and digital production standards (bleed, resolution, file formats)
Portfolio that demonstrates creativity and design skills (class projects welcome)
Detail-oriented with the ability to follow brand guidelines
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks or deadlines
Positive, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
Ability to contribute fresh, creative ideas
Willing and able to commute to the BHI Central Office and any of the BHI Communities

Responsibilities

Create visually engaging designs for both print and digital platforms using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Apply design principles such as typography, color theory, layout, and branding to produce professional, cohesive materials.
Prepare and format files to meet production standards, ensuring accuracy in resolution, bleed, and file formats.
Contribute creative concepts and fresh ideas to design projects and campaigns.
Maintain consistency with established brand guidelines across all design deliverables.
Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to support project goals.
Manage multiple tasks and deadlines while staying organized and dependable.
Communicate design concepts clearly and receive feedback constructively.
Demonstrate initiative and a positive, can-do attitude while growing design skills.
Showcase creativity and technical skills through the development and presentation of design work.
