About The Position

FifthColor's Graphic Design Internship Program offers students hands-on experience in bringing creative work from concept to final execution. Interns will contribute to meaningful projects supporting FifthColor's growth. As a full-service, independent, omnichannel agency, FifthColor is dedicated to developing early career talent and building a pipeline for future full-time roles. The Graphic Design Intern will report to the Creative Director and collaborate with the creative team on projects ranging from early comps to final print and digital execution for various brands. Interns will gain exposure to production, precision, and craft from experienced creatives, developing practical skills, enhancing their portfolios, and contributing to FifthColor's creative output through project work, mentorship, and collaboration.

Requirements

• Junior or Senior working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field.
• A foundational understanding of graphic design principles, typography, layout, and color.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Strong attention to detail and appreciation for clean, accurate work.
• The ability to stay organized while managing multiple assignments.
• A willingness to ask questions, receive feedback, and apply what you learn.
• A dependable, self-motivated, and collaborative approach.
• A portfolio or examples of design work that show thinking skills and creative potential.
• Authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the creative team to produce and finalize creative work across print and digital channels.
• Prepare, revise, and organize design files for production.
• Build and update layouts based on established creative concepts and brand guidelines.
• Help ensure final work is polished, accurate, and ready for release.
• Support projects from initial comp through final execution.
• Learn the ins and outs of agency production, including file preparation, quality control, and print pre-press.
• Balance multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Collaborate with team members across creative and other agency departments.
• Contribute to real client work for a diverse range of brands.
