Graphic Design Intern
About The Position
The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium is currently seeking a Graphic Design Intern for the Fall/Spring term, with options to end in December 2026 or April 2027. This position will assist in visually supporting and enhancing the Zoo's mission to: Enjoy. Inspire. Educate. Act. The intern will be responsible for a range of projects, including print, digital, illustration, environmental design, purchase ordering, and production. They will assist in creating high-quality, visual content and be fully involved in the creative process through production. Projects created may be featured on Zoo grounds, events, social media platforms, and toledozoo.org.
Requirements
- Completed at least one year in a graphic design or visual communications design undergraduate program.
- Submit a resume and digital portfolio of projects from college courses or previous internship programs.
- Proficient in an iMac environment, Adobe Creative Suite and Office 365.
- Understands layout, typography, hierarchy and adhering to brand standards.
- Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organization skills with digital filing systems.
- Works well with a team and with others across multiple departments.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
