About The Position

Excel Sports Management is seeking a Fall 2026 Intern for Graphic Design with a focus on Social Media. This is a paid opportunity designed to allow participants to contribute to the organization's success while applying classroom learnings. The program will be hybrid, offering approximately 3 days a week of in-office experience. Interns are responsible for their own transportation and housing. The program runs from Monday, September 14th, 2026, through Thursday, December 10th, 2026. Interns are expected to work 24-29.9 hours per week. While working with a specific division, interns will have opportunities to learn about other areas within Excel through lunch and learns.

Requirements

Proficiency and experience in Adobe Photoshop are required
Must provide creative portfolio
Must demonstrate high attention to detail and consistency
Be available to work under 30 hours per week
Be available to report to the New York Office approximately 3-days a week
Have a senior standing in college (must have completed your junior year of undergrad) OR Be enrolled in a graduate school OR Have a bachelor’s or postgraduate degree.

Responsibilities

Assists the Social Media team in designing graphics for Excel social channels
Assist in versioning out template-based content
Assist in developing creative concepts for social media initiatives
Learns the importance of C.A.R.E. (consistency, authenticity, relevance and engagement.)
Will learn the design process of content to be published for approved stories and in-feed posts
Will develop skills needed to design content specifically for social media
Will learn to maintain brand consistency across social channels
Will have access to the Excel team for industry advice and learnings
May occasionally be assigned projects outside the Social Media/Communications group to gain exposure to other divisions within Excel.
