About The Position
The Graphic Design Coordinator works in the Design and Print Services Branch within the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s Office of Support Services in Franklin County. The role performs and coordinates the work of others and/or graphic design projects to create printed, display, and web-based products. The position consults with customers, develops designs and layouts, researches projects, supports other designers, and operates equipment to produce proofs and printed materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, commercial art, studio art, or a closely related field; experience in one of these areas may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
- Two years of experience in graphic design.
- Excellent graphic design skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Teamwork.
- Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
Responsibilities
- Consult with customers to determine their needs and create professional manual and computer-generated designs.
- Develop complex themes and produce complete layouts using graphic design software.
- Research projects using available resources.
- Assist other designers in streamlining digital files.
- Operate scanners, copiers, and large-format plotters to produce proofs and other printed materials.
