About The Position

The Part-time Graphic Artist uses knowledge of current graphic design software to produce materials for promotions. This involves the design and production of items that promote Glazer’s products, specifically menus for restaurants, table tents, and banners for on-premise and retail customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• Current driver license

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with Adobe CS 3 including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator on a PC
• Must be able to work well under pressure and able to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and communication skills both verbally and written
• Very organized
• Currently pursuing a degree in Art, Graphic Design or related degree program

Responsibilities

• Design sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concept
• Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy; select style and size of type
• Prepare final electronic versions for printing and prepare printed mock-ups of all items being produced to reflect expectations of final product
• Develop concepts, graphics and layouts for illustrations, logos, and other materials as needed
• Follow creative design trends to ensure that the Company’s materials are in-line with current trends and standards while adhering to corporate branding guidelines
• Mounting adhesive material to coroplast
• Performs other job related duties as assigned
