About The Position

Under the direction of the Grower Relations Manager, this position is responsible for obtaining grape samples from outside grower’s vineyards, processing these samples, and analyzing them for basic chemistries. The role involves accurately following established sampling and processing procedures in a timely manner, learning vineyard locations, and independently scheduling routes. The Grape Sampler will also note and advise grape management staff of unusual vineyard conditions and may be responsible for recordkeeping and reporting. Other activities will be assigned by the Grower Relations Manager.

Requirements

• High school education or viticulture coursework preferred.
• Ability to do basic math and read/follow a map.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills; able to keep neat and accurate records.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and a clean DMV record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods.
• Lifting may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous viticulture experience/familiarity with vineyard environment highly desirable.

Responsibilities
