About The Position

This is a part-time role (approximately 24 hours per week) at Regis College, reporting to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement (IA) and coordinating with the Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations. The Grants Officer is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of private grant funding, including prospect research, relationship support, proposal development, submission, and stewardship for corporate and foundation funders. The role is the primary driver of corporate and foundation grant activity and sponsorships, working with faculty, academic leadership, and IA colleagues to create competitive proposals aligned with institutional priorities. This position requires daily meetings, weekly letters, proposal and report writing, meeting weekly deadlines and targets, and making phone calls, especially before special events.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and qualify corporate and foundation funding opportunities aligned with institutional priorities.
  • Maintain and grow a portfolio of prospects and active funders.
  • Monitor funding cycles, guidelines, and trends.
  • Guide the development of faculty and/or staff-led proposal teams.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with funder guidelines (RFP/NoFO).
  • Support the writing, editing, and assembling of proposals, LOIs, and sponsorship requests.
  • Support the development of project narratives, timelines, and related materials.
  • Collaborate with the Business Office on budgets and ensure compliance with guidelines.
  • Manage submission timelines and ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Serve as the portfolio lead for corporate & foundation sponsors.
  • Support cultivation and stewardship activities led by the IA team.
  • Participate in funder communications and meetings as appropriate.
  • Conduct sponsorship outreach for institutional events including, but not limited to Giving Day, annual gala, Regis Women’s Network, and annual golf tournament.
  • Work with project directors to track reporting deadlines and compliance requirements.
  • Support the drafting and submission of interim and final reports.
  • Coordinate with program staff and the Business Office on deliverables and financial reporting.
  • Maintain strong funder relationships through timely communication.
  • Maintain accurate records in Raiser’s Edge (or CRM).
  • Track proposals, submissions, outcomes, and revenue projections.
  • Monitor outstanding proposals/sponsorship requests and follow up with funders.
  • Work closely with the part-time Director for strategic guidance and relationships.
  • Partner with faculty and program staff on proposal development.
  • Coordinate with the IA team, Communications, and Business offices.
