About The Position

Join Camber Children's Mental Health as our Kansas Grants Manager and play a vital role in advancing programs that improve the lives of children, families, and communities across Kansas. At Camber, you'll collaborate with dedicated leaders, program teams, and community partners to identify funding opportunities, develop compelling grant proposals, and help expand critical behavioral health services. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum five years of successful grant writing and grant management experience.
  • Demonstrated success securing federal, state, foundation, and corporate grants.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience researching funding opportunities through online grant research platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Professional.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional organization and project management skills.
  • Ability to monitor funding goals and meet revenue objectives.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
  • Ability to travel throughout Kansas and Missouri, primarily within the Kansas City metro area.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Raiser's Edge NXT.
  • Working knowledge of Guidestar, Foundation Center Online, Instrumental, and other grant research databases.
  • Experience developing collaborative funding partnerships with external organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue federal, state, local, corporate, and foundation grant opportunities.
  • Lead the development, writing, review, and submission of competitive grant proposals.
  • Research new funding prospects that align with organizational priorities.
  • Collaborate with finance and program leadership to develop proposal budgets and supporting documentation.
  • Build partnerships with universities and community organizations for collaborative grant opportunities.
  • Manage grant reporting requirements and maintain compliance with all funder expectations.
  • Coordinate grant submission and reporting calendars while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Maintain accurate grant records within Raiser's Edge and other tracking systems.
  • Foster relationships with current and prospective funders through stewardship, meetings, and site visits.
  • Support additional fundraising initiatives that strengthen Camber's mission.
