About The Position

Community Hope is looking for a part-time Grants Manager/Officer to support the Director of Development in grants administration, event planning and fundraising. This individual partners with the Development Team to implement grants and fundraising strategic initiatives which will contribute to the overall viability and sustainability of the organization. The position is part-time, 24 hours per week, with a hybrid schedule. The candidate will conform to the ethical principles and standards of professional practice, as adopted by the National Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Requirements

  • B.A. degree in a related discipline
  • Strong communications skills, particularly writing and organizational skills.
  • Experience using Raisers Edge or other compatible fundraising software

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and track data related to private foundations, banks, county, state and federal agencies and other prospective grant sources including these organizations’ requirements, deadlines, type and amount of funding and history of funding.
  • Research prospective funding sources to identify new funding, using sources including the internet and Foundation Directory database.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on determining funding needed for agency programs.
  • Prepare grant proposals, letters and reports to funding organizations.
  • Assist Director in preparation for the annual gala, including publications and working on the event program journal, and other events as needed.
