About The Position

The Grants Management Financial Coordinator is responsible for managing and monitoring the federally funded grant programs of the Authority. The individual in this capacity performs a variety of duties, including monitoring a wide range of vendors to ensure ongoing compliance, managing federal grants, and implementing and closing out of the federal grants. This individual is also responsible for the review and monitoring of the Authority's bond requirements to ensure compliance. Requirements

  • A working knowledge of local and federal regulations governing federally funding grant programs
  • Previous grant administration experience
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Computer literate including advanced usage of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating grant program activity to ensure compliance with grant program requirements, local and federal procurement standards, generally accepted accounting principles, as well as program standards and procedures.
  • Reviews contracts related to federal grants and ensures the projects are completed according to the approved Scope of Work.
  • Ensure that vendors adhere to federal compliance policies, reimbursement policies, and contract compliance.
  • Review grant related financial transactions prior to entry in the accounting system.
  • Conduct data analysis of invoices, create reports, and spreadsheets on project activities in order to track each project's progress and make recommendations for changes to management.
  • Respond accurately, courteously and timely to phone and written correspondence with appropriate follow up as necessary.
  • Monitor and report pertinent issues and information to management for awareness, knowledge, and actions.
  • Accurately prepare and maintain records, files, and reports for audit purposes.
  • Monitors and reviews grant revenue and expenditure activity.
  • Provides guidance, oversight, and general assistance to program managers and other staff relating to the federal grant process.
  • Assists in preparing supporting documentation and other related materials for the A-133 Single Audit.
  • Assists with the compilation of information required for compliance and disclosure.
  • Update and Maintain database for financial disclosure.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
