About The Position

The GO Tutor Corps (GO) is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and skilled Grants and Operations Manager to drive two core functions: managing the end-to-end onboarding and compliance process for over 100 Fellows, and supporting grants compliance across GO's portfolio of funders, including AmeriCorps. This role is crucial for keeping the program running smoothly as GO grows. The ideal candidate will take ownership of processes, ensure completion, maintain accurate systems, and proactively identify and address potential issues. Prior AmeriCorps experience is essential.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience.
  • At least 1 year serving as an AmeriCorps member or working directly on an AmeriCorps program.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a track record of managing complex, multi-step processes with many moving parts.
  • Ability to quickly learn and become comfortable with new systems.
  • A collaborative working style and the ability to build trusted relationships across teams and with external partners.
  • Commitment to equity and an ability to engage thoughtfully on issues of race, class, and access in educational settings.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a GO Fellow is a plus.
  • Experience with or exposure to grants compliance, across AmeriCorps or other funders, is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with eGrants or AmericaLearns is not required but a history of picking up technical tools and processes on the job is valued.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the operational and logistical side of the Fellow onboarding process from start to finish, tracking deadlines, following up with Fellows, coordinating across HR and program teams, and reporting progress to leadership.
  • Oversee background check completion, eGrants enrollment, and lead the Welcome to AmeriCorps Pre-Service orientation.
  • Support AmeriCorps reference checks, compliance training, and time tracking.
  • Manage Fellow files and the exit process.
  • Support compliance across GO's grant portfolio, with a focus on AmeriCorps, by monitoring requirements in grant award documents and federal guidance.
  • Flag compliance considerations for program and finance teams and maintain documentation and reporting systems.
  • Support GO's relationships with AmeriCorps state commissions and program officers.
  • Flag compliance questions to operations leadership as they arise.
  • Take on special projects to support GO's program and operational goals, such as researching new program models, coordinating national service day programming, or other initiatives.
  • Participate in monthly Fellow development days and the annual GO Forum in August.
