About The Position

As a Grants Analyst III with OMES, you will support the Grants Management Office. This role involves administrative aspects of grant monitoring and auditing, reviewing proposals and documentation, providing oversight on grants accounts, and serving as a liaison between subrecipients and the Grants Management Office. You will also prepare and compile documentation, maintain records in specialized databases, monitor post-award grants, conduct audits, and assist with grant education sessions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, political science, or related field; and Three years of prior grants administration, finance, or auditing work experience; or An equivalent combination of education and work‐related experience.

  • Experience with Oklahoma Grants Exchange (OGX).

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with agencies in the administrative aspects of grant monitoring and auditing.
  • Reviews proposals and documentation of grant recipient entities in accordance with funding requirements for Oklahoma and the federal government.
  • Provision of oversight on grants accounts and ensuring that grant account is meeting the grant intent, general and specific funding policies, regulations, and requirements.
  • Serves as a liaison between subrecipient and Grants Management Office personnel.
  • Prepares and compiles all documentation related to each grant account.
  • Learns the specialized database’s function and maintains records for the grant accounts on the specialized databases and systems for recording and tracking grant proposals, awards, and related statistical information; creates and distributes standard and special reports, studies, summaries, and analyses, as required.
  • Monitors and coordinates the administration of post-award grants to ensure that budgeting and administrative policies, procedures, and agency requirements are being followed; manages administrative problems and/or budget changes occurring during the awarded granting period.
  • Schedules, plans, and conducts required audits, reviewing required accounting records or other business documents, evaluating financial controls and business processes, and identifies areas that need improvement.
  • Assists with preparation and delivery of research grant education sessions for internal and external audience.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
