About The Position

We are pleased to announce that the Finance Division Within the State Court Administrator’s Office (SCAO), is looking for a Statewide Grant Accountant. This position will be responsible for all aspects of grant accounting which includes budgeting, planning and the goals of this position are to provide grant analysis and reporting to ensure compliance with federal requirements and support the grant managers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, public administration, business administration or related field.
3-5 years of experience in grant management, court administration, or public administration.
Knowledge of the theory, principles, and practices of court administration.
Knowledge of grant writing, reporting and compliance measures.
Strong analytical skills for internal grant reporting and statistics.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of grant accounting and administration.
Experience in court administration.
Experience with Minnesota’s statewide accounting system, SWIFT

Responsibilities

Account for all grant funds and prepare financial reports for all grants awarded to the Judicial Branch. Responsibilities include preparing financial reports and ensuring that all reports are filed accurately, timely and meet the requirements of the grant agreements.
Provide financial analysis to advise grant managers on budgets, ongoing expenditures, and matching requirements.
Monitor grant onboarding and post award requirements.
Process re-engineering and procedure reviews to meet federal and state controls and requirements.
Lead statewide grant meetings.
