At the Center for Human Development (CHD), our guiding philosophy is Care Finds a Way. For over 50 years, CHD has built an extraordinary reputation for quality, innovative services, and fiscal stability, growing into a $140 million organization powered by 1,800 dedicated staff members across Western Massachusetts and Connecticut. We believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive. Our culture is grounded in inclusivity, collaboration, and a deep commitment to protecting the dignity and welfare of people in need. As a Grant Writer at CHD, your work directly fuels this mission by securing the resources needed to launch, sustain, and expand high-impact behavioral health and human service programs across our communities. Reporting directly to the Director of Grants, the Grant Writer plays a vital role in advancing CHD’s strategic priorities. You will be responsible for identifying relevant grant opportunities and crafting compelling, high-quality proposals for local, state, and federal government grants, as well as private foundation support. Working closely with program leaders and executive staff, you will help translate innovative ideas into funded reality by researching best practices, gathering data, and framing program designs that align with CHD's mission.
