About The Position

The job of the Grant Specialist is done for the purpose/s of performing a variety of instructional and financial activities and/or projects related to all departments of the district including but not limited to supporting grant projects; completing site visits; monitor state and federal procedures for compliance; and recording, updating, and reconciling fiscal information.

  • Must be on-call as a regular part of the job
  • Applicants must submit official transcripts, three professional references with at least one supervisory reference and a copy of the appropriate credentials as part of the application process.
  • As a condition of employment and prior to onboarding, the district will conduct a criminal history background check.
  • As part of the pre-employment process, candidates will be required to submit TB test results and complete designated employment tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in education, Education Specialist, or Doctorate Degree.
  • Job-related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Director of Federal and State Programs, district administration, and Title I school personnel with developing budget plans.
  • Continuously assesses all grant programing needs.
  • Inputs grant data, budgets and related documents into required platforms.
  • Completes monthly site visits of grant projects and activities to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinates the training of parent and family liaisons for the purpose of establishing a strong, viable program that empowers family members to be partners with their children’s schools and advocates for their children.
  • Completes program evaluation and reviews the data with district and school staff members
  • Develops and implement family engagement professional learning opportunities so school and district staff have the tools to make all Title I families feel welcomed and want to remain engaged in their child’s educational career
  • Serves as liaison with community agencies
  • Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Title I Program
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars (e.g. staff meetings, in-services, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities assigned.
