About The Position

Global Solutions Network (GSN), a federal government contracting firm, is seeking a full-time, long-term Grant Management Specialist to support their customer at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This position offers a competitive salary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
  • 1 to 5 years’ experience as Grant Management Specialist or similar role
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Proficiency in QVR
  • Proficiency in Grant management systems
  • Proficiency in SharePoint
  • Proficiency in IMPAC II
  • Knowledge of grants policy and regulations
  • Knowledge of Grant Administration
  • Knowledge of Grant receipt and funding tracking, drafting summary statements, price/cost analysis
  • Knowledge of Grants Funding Analysis
  • Knowledge of word processing (MS Word, MS Excel) and databases
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in the following software preferred: MS Office, QVR, Grant management systems, SharePoint, IMPAC II

Responsibilities

  • Assist federal staff with administrative, technical, and analytical activities associated with grant application review and award processing, including reviewing application materials and budgets for completeness and consistency.
  • Prepare summaries, spreadsheets, or analytical documentation related to administrative or budget components of applications.
  • Identify missing documentation or potential compliance issues.
  • Prepare draft administrative documentation and correspondence for review by federal staff.
  • Upload and organize documentation in grant files and electronic systems.
  • Provide administrative, technical, and analytical support related to awarded grants, including compiling, collecting, and organizing financial and administrative information and documents for federal staff review.
  • Review submitted reports for completeness and identify items requiring further review.
  • Prepare summaries of tasks needed for administrative requests such as budget revisions, carryover requests, or key personnel changes.
  • Maintain tracking tools related to expenditures, obligations, and administrative milestones.
  • Support documentation preparation, collection, and uploading related to grant monitoring and closeout activities.
  • Provide documentation and operational support for grants management activities, including preparing draft correspondence, reports, and briefing materials for federal staff review.
  • Maintain organized grant documentation and electronic grant files, including collection or tracking of requested missing items.
  • Develop and maintain tracking tools or spreadsheets used to support administrative reviews.
  • Assist federal staff with research, analysis, and documentation related to grants management policies or process improvements.
