The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) is seeking a Grant Coordinator to perform routine (journey-level) grant development and administration work. This role involves marketing, developing, implementing, and closing out FEMA's Flood Mitigation Assistance and state flood grant programs, both programmatically and financially. The Grant Coordinator will plan, administer, implement, and close federal and state-funded grants within Texas, providing technical assistance to political subdivisions, other agencies, and the public to ensure effective implementation of grant programs. The position also assists in preparing, coordinating, reviewing, and evaluating applications for the state's annual Flood Mitigation Assistance grant application to FEMA, and reviews, evaluates, and implements state flood grants. The role may serve as a contract manager for flood grants, maintain required grant program information, and coordinate program requirements between state, federal, and local communities. Additionally, the Grant Coordinator will serve as a liaison, give presentations, and conduct training concerning floodplain planning, management, and mitigation. This position works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for initiative and independent judgment, reporting to the Manager of the Grant Coordination Department. Travel up to 25% of the time and working outside of normal business hours (8 am - 5 pm) is required.
