About The Position

Supports the identification, research, development, and submission of grant proposals and corporate funding requests, while assisting with grant reporting, stewardship, and tracking of funding opportunities and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of experience in Development.
  • Demonstrated success in Grant Writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to organize and manage a wide variety of tasks with accuracy and attention to deadlines.
  • Intermediate computer skills, to include Microsoft Office products and Outlook.
  • Must have reliable, personal vehicle and a valid Driver’s License, good driving record, and applicable insurance coverage required by the company policy.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.

  • Have mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
  • Able to work at a desk and computer screen for extended periods of time; anticipated that the person may spend several hours each day sitting at a computer.
  • Ability to work in a highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and diverse employee population.
  • Able to occasionally lift up-to twenty-five (25) pounds to move office supplies or other equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with researching, writing, editing, and submitting grant proposals, letters of inquiry, renewal requests, and corporate funding applications in coordination with the Grant Manager.
  • Help maintain that grant calendar to track application deadlines, report due dates, renewal opportunities, award periods, and funder requirements.
  • Support the full grant lifecycle, including prospect research, proposal development, application coordination, tracking, reporting, stewardship, and closeout.
  • Gather program information, service data, outcomes, participant stories, budgets, attachments, and supporting documents needed for grant applications and reports.
  • Draft and prepare grant reports, funder updates, stewardship materials, and impact summaries in coordination with the Grant Manager and program staff.
  • Maintain organized grant files, including submitted applications, award letters, contracts, reports, budgets, correspondence, and required attachments.
  • Assist with researching new foundation, corporate, government, and community funding opportunities aligned with the organization’s programs and strategic priorities.
  • Support preparation for funder meetings, site visits, tours, presentations, and other stewardship activities as needed.
  • Help maintain standard grant language, program descriptions, organizational background, service statistics, and outcome information for use in proposals and grant reports.
  • Support special projects that highlight the organization’s services, funding needs, impact, and community role.
  • Assist with meal delivery when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
