The Fairfax County Department of Public Works and Environmental Services (DPWES) seeks a Grant Administrator (Management Analyst II) to support the Stormwater Business area. This role involves seeking out and managing grant funding for Capital Infrastructure Projects. The position requires researching grant opportunities, writing applications, tracking awards and applications, managing agreements, and managing payments. For awarded grants, the administrator will obtain input and documentation from stakeholders to ensure timely submission of information. The role identifies DPWES projects for grants through various funds like the Community Flood Preparedness Fund and Stormwater Local Assistance Fund, as well as other federal, state, and local grants. The Grant Administrator will compose grant applications and assemble associated packages for Board notification, submittal to granting entities, and notification of partners. They will also assist Watershed Project Implementation staff with project management and administration tasks related to the design and/or construction of stormwater projects. Additionally, the role involves performing basic GIS spatial analysis, creating maps, and conducting data analysis to support the Stormwater Capital Improvement Program.
