About The Position

The Grain Systems Construction Specialist oversees the construction, repair, and maintenance of customer grain systems while leading a team dedicated to quality workmanship and safety. This role coordinates with team members to maintain equipment and uphold safety and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Obtain a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with required endorsements (e.g., HazMat, Tanker) within six months of employment and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Experience in commercial, agricultural, or industrial construction and facility maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, concrete, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret project specifications.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining equipment and machinery.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry.
  • Follow safety and compliance standards to help ensure their well-being and the safety of others.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as required for loading and unloading.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions, during peak planting and harvesting seasons, and outside of normal hours throughout the year to meet deadlines and demands.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • an associate degree or technical certification in construction, building maintenance, carpentry, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the structures team.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee construction, remodeling, and maintenance projects.
  • Perform and supervise concrete, roofing, welding, and general building repairs.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and outside contractors.
  • Order materials, maintain inventory, and manage project resources.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and company vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety policies, and applicable building codes.
  • Train and mentor team members while promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
