About The Position

This client is a German multinational Pharmaceutical and biotechnology company and one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, headquartered in Leverkusen, and areas of business include pharmaceuticals; consumer healthcare products, agricultural chemicals, seeds and biotechnology products. This is a temporary assignment for a Grain Quality Analyst located in Ankeny, IA. The role is onsite and is for 6 months.

Requirements

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering field such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology or a closely related field with at least three years of related industry experience.
Directly applicable experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirements.

Responsibilities

Receipt, identification, and preparation of samples.
Ensure incoming samples are labeled correctly.
Appropriate analytical requests have been requested.
Prep and analyze samples according to ISO work instructions.
Ability to routinely lift items weighing 35 - 40 lbs.
Prioritization of analyses according to customer needs matched to capacity.
Organization and coordination of projects in a high throughput lab environment.
Obtaining analytical data.
Ensuring data integrity.
Functioning in multi-discipline teams and delivering laboratory results in an efficient manner.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Works under immediate supervision.
Typically reports to a supervisor.
