About The Position

Glacial Lakes Energy (GLE), a leader in the corn ethanol industry, is seeking a full-time Grain Operator at their Watertown facility. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors in all seasons and are eager to learn, with no prior experience required as training will be provided. As a Grain Operator, you will support the day-to-day operations of the grain handling department, including operating the corn dryer, blending and grading grains, and managing the loading and unloading of trucks and railcars for DDGs and ethanol. Founded in 2001, GLE is a premier South Dakota producer of renewable fuels, employing approximately 180 team members across four ethanol plants. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Must enjoy working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential.

Nice To Haves

• 1–3 years of experience in grain blending or grading preferred, but not required—we provide full training.
• Experience working with grain producers and transportation personnel is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate corn dryers and support all grain handling processes.
• Assist in grain blending, grading, and sample retention.
• Oversee loading and unloading of DDGs and ethanol via truck and rail.
• Collaborate with producers and transportation personnel.
