About The Position

Glacial Lakes Energy is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead site safety and environmental compliance programs. This role is responsible for driving a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that impact employee safety and operational performance.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience
• 2+ years in a leadership role
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, Clean Air Act, and Clean Water Act
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, EHS, or related field
• Experience with water/wastewater compliance
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies, programs, and training
• Promote safety awareness and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
• Investigate incidents and near misses; implement corrective actions
• Manage Workers’ Compensation in partnership with HR
• Lead environmental compliance efforts, including permits and reporting
• Monitor emissions and maintain EPA and state compliance
• Oversee safety and environmental teams
• Maintain programs such as SWPPP, SPCC, and DOT security plans
• Drive continuous improvement and hazard identification
