About The Position
The Andersons is seeking a dependable, safety-minded Operations Worker to join their grain elevator team. This position supports daily operations including receiving, handling, storing, and loading grain while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. No previous grain experience is required; on-the-job training is provided. Candidates with basic mechanical aptitude or an interest in learning equipment and troubleshooting are encouraged to apply, as this role involves hands-on work across multiple areas of the facility.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years’ relevant experience required
- Ability to operate mobile equipment and/or a valid driver’s license preferred
- Must be able to stand for an extended period of time
- Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 180 feet

- Interest in learning equipment and troubleshooting
Responsibilities
- Perform inspection and receiving activities such as probing trucks, weighing trucks, and gathering product samples
- Monitor grain handling and receiving equipment and processes; identify potential issues and take appropriate action such as resolving minor issues, performing minor maintenance, or escalating issue for resolution as necessary
- Assist with loading grains on rail cars, trucks, vessels (where applicable)
- Operate various types of mobile equipment
- Perform general housekeeping activities such as bin clean out
