About The Position

As a Graduate Transportation Planner, you'll be part of a collaborative Transportation Planning team helping shape the future of how people and communities move. Launch your career by gaining hands-on experience on a variety of transportation planning projects while working alongside experienced planners and engineers. You'll collaborate with agencies such as state DOTs, counties, cities, metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs), and developers to develop innovative, data-driven transportation solutions that support community growth and mobility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Transportation Planning, Urban & Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, Community Development, or a related field, or actively pursuing a degree.
  • 0 - 4 years of experience in transportation planning or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, written, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
  • Motivated to learn, take initiative, and contribute to high-quality project deliverables
  • Excellent technical, written, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with GIS (ArcGIS Pro or similar software).
  • Familiarity with transportation planning principles, multimodal transportation systems, and public engagement processes.
  • Experience creating maps, graphics, or data visualizations.
  • Working knowledge of transportation planning or travel demand modeling tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with transportation planning studies, corridor plans, and mobility assessments.
  • Support data collection, analysis, and visualization to evaluate transportation trends, travel patterns, and system performance.
  • Contribute to multimodal planning projects involving pedestrian, bicycle, transit, and roadway networks.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, planning documents, maps, graphics, and presentations.
  • Support public and stakeholder engagement activities, including meetings, workshops, and community outreach efforts.
  • Research transportation policies, funding opportunities, and planning best practices to support project development.
