Primarily responsible for the delivery of limited clinical care. Responsible for proper orientation/knowledge development to prepare for post graduate credentialing through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and subsequent licensing through the Texas Medical Board (TMB). Responsible for promoting positive interactions with staff, physicians, patients, families and other visitors. This position will perform limited clinical modalities and will not perform any clinical modality requiring professional credentialing and/or licensure as a Respiratory Therapist. Awaiting NBRC credentialing and awaiting licensure through the TMB. As a Graduate Respiratory Therapist, 90 days will be allotted from the graduation date for the individual to obtain credentials and licensure to work independently as a Respiratory Therapist (RT). In the event these efforts exceed the 90-day mark, the individual will be removed from payroll and encouraged to reapply once they obtain the required credentials and licensure necessary to work independently as an RT.
