About The Position

At Advocate Condell Medical Center, Graduate Respiratory Therapists are integral clinicians, learners, innovators, and advocates for healthier communities. As part of Advocate Health, this role offers hands-on experience under the guidance of licensed respiratory therapists, building a foundation for a rewarding career within one of the nation’s leading nonprofit health systems. Advocate Condell Medical Center is Lake County’s only Level I Trauma Center, providing comprehensive heart and vascular services through the Advocate Heart Institute and Primary Stroke Center certification. The position involves caring for a diverse range of high-acuity patients across trauma, cardiac, stroke, neurosurgery, orthopedics, oncology, and more, supported by an emergency department approved for pediatrics and backed by Advocate Children’s Hospital. The center serves Libertyville and surrounding north-suburban communities. The work environment is a modern hospital featuring all private adult rooms, on-site learning resources, continuing-education programs, and comfortable staff amenities. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program (associate degree minimum)
  • CRT within 45 days of hire
  • BLS certification (AHA)

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional respiratory care for adult and NICU patients
  • Manage ventilators and perform therapeutic procedures
  • Administer medications and educate patients and families
  • Collaborate across care teams to ensure safe, quality outcomes
