The Graduate Residential Coordinator supports the Assistant Director in the operation of a residential area on campus. A Graduate Residential Coordinator (GRC) co-supervises Resident Assistants (RAs) while supporting the Office of Residential Education in all campus-wide projects, such as Housing Selection, Student Staff Selection, Student Staff Training, and other projects as assigned. Supporting those projects includes participation in departmental committees such as Development, Training, and Recognition (including RA Training), Housing Operations (including Health and Safety Inspections), or Staff Selection. Graduate Residential Coordinators serve as a resource and support related to academic, personal, and social concerns while also providing ongoing feedback to their direct supervisees to aid in their professional and personal development. GRCs serve as graduate assistants in the Division of Campus Life and participate in campus-wide events, planning, and programming. In doing so, GRCs should be available for evening and weekend responsibilities, including but not limited to Staff Development, Weekend Programming, Divisional Requirements, and campus-wide programs. Additionally, the Graduate Residential Coordinators maintain responsibility in many functions of housing and residential life, including, but not limited to, programming, duty and crisis response,(serving as a mandated reporter for violations of the Student Code of Conduct and Title IX), student conduct (serving as a Level 1 hearing officer for alleged violations), student development, and facilities management. Throughout the year, GRCs will represent the department at various Wagner College events, including but not limited to: Wagner Weekend (Homecoming), Songfest, WagnerStock, and Commencement. The Graduate Residential Coordinator is supervised by the Assistant Director of Residential Education.
