This role provides general administrative and office support within Chapman Court. The Graduate Resident Director will co-supervise, train, evaluate, and support a team of 4-5 Resident Advisors, conducting weekly one-on-one and staff meetings. Responsibilities include assisting with student staff recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training. The position involves participating in an on-call duty rotation to respond to student emergencies, crises, and policy violations, as well as managing student conduct processes through administrative hearings and documentation. The role also entails providing support, referrals, and guidance to students on personal, academic, and community concerns. Additionally, the Graduate Resident Director will assist with occupancy management, room assignments, check-ins, check-outs, and building operations. Health and safety inspections and follow-up on facilities concerns are also part of the duties. The position requires maintaining regular office hours, collaborating with campus partners for student success, and developing educational initiatives and community-building opportunities to foster student development and engagement. Completing reports, maintaining accurate records, and supporting departmental projects are also key functions.
