This position is for a currently enrolled student in a graduate degree program in medicine, biological sciences, or a related field, who is working in a research lab. The research is conducted independently under the supervision of the principal investigator on projects focused on transplantation immunology. These research projects will prepare the incumbent to work fully independently on department-level and original research in the future. The research conducted and work performed is at least partially in fulfillment of their degree program requirements. This role also supports the design and development of wearable biomedical devices (FlexNIRS) for monitoring brain and physiological signals. It is a hands-on role involving PCB design, embedded systems, prototyping, testing, and device assembly. The engineer will work in a multidisciplinary research environment and contribute to systems used in clinical and at-home studies.
