About The Position

The Milner Student Health, Wellness, and Counseling Center at Guilford College offers an unpaid, part-time (typically approximately 20 hours per week) training experience to graduate students pursuing professional degrees in clinical psychology, counseling, social work, or closely related disciplines. The Center provides on-site individual supervision with a licensed mental health professional. The individual supervisor works to develop the trainee’s clinical skill through didactics, case conceptualization, and direct feedback on video- and audio-recorded therapy sessions. The Center remains in close contact with clinical training faculty at the trainee’s home institution. Trainees are evaluated each semester and are given direct, written feedback about their progress. Trainees also evaluate the Center and their supervisors each semester.
