About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Recruitment, the Student Recruiter - Graduate Programs is a key member of the College of Nursing's growing marketing and enrollment team. This position is responsible for driving prospective student engagement and enrollment across the College's online graduate portfolio, including Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Post-Graduate Certificate, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs. This is a growth-focused, relationship-driven position for an individual who enjoys connecting with people, using data to identify opportunities, and turning interest into action. The Student Recruiter owns the prospective student experience from initial inquiry through matriculation and plays a direct role in increasing awareness, engagement, application completion, and enrollment. The Student Recruiter will serve as a primary user and strategic contributor within the College's customer relationship management (CRM) platform. The position will use prospect behavior, engagement data, campaign activity, and enrollment funnel metrics to prioritize outreach, personalize communications, identify barriers, and improve conversion. The role works at the intersection of marketing, technology, data, relationship management, and enrollment growth. The Student Recruiter will collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing & Recruitment, Assistant Deans, Program Directors, faculty, Student Services, and Admissions to develop and execute recruitment strategies that support the College's enrollment priorities. The College of Nursing is investing in significant growth across its graduate programs and expanding how it reaches and engages nurses and healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys building, testing new approaches, solving problems, and improving processes rather than simply maintaining existing ones. Success in this role will be demonstrated through strong prospective student engagement, improved movement through the enrollment funnel, exceptional customer service, and measurable contributions to graduate enrollment growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant program experience.
• Experience in recruitment, enrollment, admissions, sales, business development, customer success, marketing, student services, or another relationship-focused, customer-facing environment.
• Experience using CRM systems, student information systems, or similar technologies to manage communications, relationships, pipelines, or engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and provide a high level of customer service.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Three to five years of experience in recruitment, enrollment management, admissions, sales, business development, customer success, digital marketing, or a related growth-oriented field.
• Experience managing a prospective customer or student pipeline from initial interest through conversion.
• Experience using data, customer insights, and performance metrics to identify opportunities and improve engagement or conversion outcomes.
• Experience recruiting for or marketing online academic programs, healthcare, nursing, health professions, graduate education, or other professional programs.

Responsibilities

• Own recruitment and enrollment activity for assigned graduate programs, managing prospective students from initial inquiry through matriculation.
• Develop and execute individualized recruitment strategies based on prospective student interests, program, enrollment stage, engagement, and barriers to enrollment.
• Build meaningful relationships with prospective students through phone, email, text, virtual meetings, information sessions, webinars, and other engagement channels.
• Serve as a knowledgeable and trusted resource for prospective students navigating graduate nursing education and complex program pathways.
• Clearly communicate program offerings, admission requirements, curriculum pathways, online learning formats, career opportunities, and enrollment processes.
• Proactively identify opportunities to move prospective students forward in the enrollment funnel.
• Re-engage prospective students who have stopped progressing or demonstrated declining engagement.
• Support strategies to increase inquiry-to-application and application-to-enrollment conversion.
• Represent the College of Nursing at virtual and in-person recruitment events, professional events, employer outreach activities, and other strategic recruitment opportunities.
• Partner with Marketing to convert campaign-generated leads into meaningful recruitment engagement and enrollment outcomes.
• Provide feedback regarding prospective student questions, objections, interests, and market trends to inform future recruitment strategies.
• Serve as a key CRM user and resource for graduate recruitment and prospective student engagement.
• Use CRM data to understand prospect behavior, engagement patterns, recruitment opportunities, and points of friction within the enrollment funnel.
• Execute targeted communication journeys and recruitment campaigns in collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Recruitment.
• Segment prospective students based on program interest, enrollment stage, engagement, prior interactions, and other relevant characteristics.
• Monitor prospect engagement and communication performance and recommend adjustments to improve results.
• Collaborate with Marketing to test messaging, communication timing, channels, and recruitment approaches.
• Support development and continuous improvement of automated and personalized recruitment communications.
• Maintain accurate and actionable prospect information while using the CRM as a strategic tool for enrollment growth.
• Identify opportunities to improve CRM workflows, prospect experiences, and recruitment processes.
• Ensure recruitment activity and prospect interactions are appropriately documented and aligned with established CRM standards.
• Partner with Student Services and Admissions to create a seamless experience from prospective student inquiry through enrollment.
• Monitor applicant progress and proactively communicate with prospective and admitted students regarding outstanding requirements or next steps.
• Identify barriers within the enrollment process and work collaboratively to develop solutions.
• Support admitted student engagement and enrollment yield strategies.
• Connect prospective students with academic program leaders, faculty, and other College resources when appropriate.
• Participate in orientation, onboarding, and other student engagement activities as assigned.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve the prospective student experience.
• Maintain current knowledge of College and University enrollment processes, systems, and requirements.
• Partner with Assistant Deans, Program Directors, and faculty leaders to maintain current knowledge of program offerings, admissions requirements, curriculum changes, and enrollment priorities.
• Translate academic program features and career opportunities into clear and compelling information for prospective students.
• Support program-specific recruitment initiatives aligned with College enrollment goals.
• Help identify and develop opportunities to reach new audiences of nurses and healthcare professionals.
• Share prospective student feedback, market observations, and recruitment trends with academic and marketing leadership.
• Support strategic outreach to employers, healthcare organizations, professional associations, alumni, and other potential recruitment partners as appropriate.
• Monitor recruitment funnel activity and enrollment performance for assigned programs.
• Track inquiry volume, engagement, application activity, conversion rates, and enrollment outcomes.
• Use recruitment data to prioritize outreach and identify opportunities for intervention.
• Assist with regular recruitment and enrollment reporting.
• Identify trends and opportunities to improve recruitment effectiveness and prospective student engagement.
• Contribute to a culture of measurable, data-informed enrollment management.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of College marketing, recruitment, enrollment, and strategic growth objectives.
