About The Position

MSA has an opportunity for a Graduate Engineer II - Public Works at our St. Paul, MN office location. This position primarily supports regional municipal clients and projects and you will have the opportunity to see, and contribute in, projects from start to finish. The various projects you'll be working on make a significant and positive impact on the communities you serve. The Graduate Engineer II assists in completing projects and may provide leadership in some aspects of project completion. What does it mean to serve communities for over 100 years? Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required
  • 1+ years of relevant, post-graduate engineering experience required
  • FE/EIT required
  • This position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer. We will not provide sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Work on multiple projects
  • Coordinate multi-discipline projects
  • Preparation of work plans and engineering services contracts, invoices, and amendments
  • Planning, design, bidding, and construction engineering services on municipal water, wastewater, agriculture, and industrial projects
  • Preparation of details, specifications, and bidding documents using Microsoft Word
  • Preparation of site layout, process mechanical, and process control for project using Civil3D, AutoCAD, Revit, CadWorks software
  • Preparation of regulatory permits for projects
  • Preparation of construction cost estimates
  • May perform construction administration duties such as documenting activities, communicating to project managers regarding status and progress of construction, measuring and testing, providing general oversight, and interacting with contractors, sub-contractors, residents and City Staff.
  • Complete project administration for municipal projects including attending client meetings
  • Ability to get training and mentoring on project management and client liaison duties

STIP payments are awarded if MSA reaches its corporate financial plan for the year.
