Graduate Civil Engineer (Construction)
About The Position
Pennoni is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer interested in performing construction inspection and materials testing on exciting projects throughout the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. This position offers a recent graduate valuable exposure to a wide range of construction projects and hands-on experience that will support their professional development. As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will inspect earthwork, reinforced concrete, and structural masonry and perform related materials testing. The position also requires various certifications, and Pennoni will provide training and preparation assistance.
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with appropriate supervision.
- Familiar with standard MS Office Suite (i.e. MS Word and Excel)
Nice To Haves
- F.E./E.I.T. is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting codes and standards
- Taking written and performance exams for certifications
- Working in the field on construction sites
- Performing material testing of concrete, soil, and masonry.
- Performing field observations and writing comprehensive reports on a daily basis
- Communicate and coordinate with supervisors, contractors, clients, and engineers
- Maintain a reliable means of transportation and be on time for daily assignments
