This opportunity sits within the next phase of our growth strategy, focused on how we identify, pursue, and win new business across our key sectors. This is an internal recruitment opportunity, designed for current Compass Group team members looking to step into a Graduate Business Development role and contribute directly to generating new revenue. About the Role: As a Graduate Business Development professional, you will play an active role in identifying and progressing new business opportunities across our portfolio. You will support pipeline generation, engage in early client interactions, and contribute to live opportunities across sectors such as Sports, Leisure & Entertainment, Venues, Business & Industry, and Airlines. This is an entry-level, hands-on role, providing exposure to the full sales lifecycle and a structured pathway into a long-term career in sales and growth.

Requirements

  • Current Compass Group team member interested in transitioning into Business Development
  • Recently graduated or early in your professional career (or looking to pivot into a graduate pathway)
  • Strong interest in sales, client engagement, and commercial outcomes
  • Confident communicator with developing relationship-building capability
  • Proactive, organised, and eager to learn
  • Motivated to build a career in Business Development and growth

Responsibilities

  • Support the identification and development of new business opportunities
  • Contribute to building and maintaining a pipeline of prospective clients
  • Assist in client engagement and early-stage relationship building
  • Support bid development, including proposals and client presentations
  • Contribute to progressing opportunities through the sales lifecycle
  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop competitive solutions
  • Assist in re-tender activities for existing contracts
  • Maintain accurate tracking of leads and opportunities
