About The Position
The College of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (CSTEM) at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time Graduate Assistant for Fall 2026. The purpose of this position is to assist faculty with various professional and technical duties supporting research within CSTEM. Under immediate supervision, the Graduate Assistant will aid a regular faculty member or teaching staff with duties related to the subjects or programs in which the assistant is pursuing their graduate studies. This role should not impede the student's timely completion of their graduate degree program.
Requirements
- Registration in a CSU graduate degree program
- Equivalent to the completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree
- Enrolled in courses at CSUSM toward the completion of the graduate degree during the appointment period
- Knowledge of the subject matter of the discipline in which assigned
- Ability to relate well to others within the academic environment
- Ability to supervise, assist and train students
- Ability to assist faculty in the conduct of special projects/research within the discipline
- Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.
