About The Position

Franklin Pierce University (FPU) is seeking a Graduate Assistant (GA) for Multicultural Student Services (MSS) to support the university's efforts to foster an inclusive and equitable campus environment through programming, advocacy, and administrative support. This position plays a key role in engaging students from diverse backgrounds, supporting affinity groups, and implementing initiatives that promote equity and belonging. This GA will work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff to create a welcoming and supportive campus environment. This position serves in the Student Affairs On-Call system, and is responsible for working with a team to respond to campus concerns, emergencies, and policy violations. In addition to the GA compensation, graduate students who serve in the on-call rotation are also provided on-campus housing for no additional charge.

Requirements

  • Must be accepted to Franklin Pierce graduate school before GA application will be considered.
  • Strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and event-planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse populations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and event-planning software.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience in student leadership, diversity programs, or related initiatives.
  • Experience with marketing, social media, and digital outreach.
