About The Position

The Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Graduate Assistant Pool. This is a pool of Graduate Assistants for the department to draw on as necessary. Appointments from the pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants may be offered employment on very short notice. The department seeks current CSUF graduate students in the Information Systems and Decision Sciences department to provide assistance to faculty in searching for, collecting and summarizing research data and publications. Assistants will also help faculty with evaluating student work and examinations, and other duties as assigned. Additionally, they will assist in the departmental office by providing guidance and information.

Requirements

• Must be a currently enrolled graduate student in the Information Systems and Decision Sciences department.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Decision Sciences or related field or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrate the ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
• Be able to follow directions, show initiative, be reliable and have the ability to assist with data analysis.

• Graduate student in the College of Business and Economics.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty in searching for, collecting and summarizing research data and publications.
• Assist faculty with evaluating student work and examinations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist in the departmental office in providing guidance and information.

Benefits

• Appointments are made under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the United Auto Workers.
• Initial appointments are for one semester only.
