Under immediate supervision, this position serves as a Graduate Student Assistant on the Technology Infrastructure for Data Exploration (TIDE) project, a multi-campus initiative funded by the National Science Foundation to create the first computational core facility focused on supporting faculty research within the California State University (CSU) system. Designed to advance machine learning and AI research, TIDE features a high-performance computing architecture built on GPUs, powerful processors, and ample storage. The Graduate Assistant will support facilitation and outreach efforts, which may include conducting HPC and AI research (e.g., reading papers, testing models, and building tools), maintaining websites and documentation, responding to support requests, and enabling use of TIDE by developing software containers, data workflow scripts, and CI/CD pipelines.
