About The Position
Gardner-Webb University is seeking applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant Wrestling Coach. This role involves assisting with various aspects of the wrestling program, including practices, training, and conditioning. The position also includes scouting and recruiting, monitoring academic progress, and supporting administrative duties as directed by the head coach. Gardner-Webb University is a Christian institution dedicated to fostering faith, learning, and service, serving approximately 3,000 students across more than 80 programs. Located in Boiling Springs, North Carolina, the university offers a supportive community with convenient access to major cities and competes in NCAA Division I athletics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- College wrestling experience
- Acceptance into a GWU Graduate Program
Responsibilities
- Assisting with practice, training, and conditioning sessions
- Oversight of individual training sessions
- Scouting and recruiting qualified prospective student athletes
- Assisting with the academic progress and study hall hours of the team
- Other administrative duties assigned by the head coach
