About The Position
Midland University, a private, faith-based, liberal arts university in Fremont, Nebraska (just outside of metro Omaha), is seeking a graduate assistant for the Warrior Supply Co. The Retail Store Assistant supports the daily operations of the Warrior Supply Co. This role is responsible for ensuring the store is organized, clean, and running efficiently while providing excellent customer service to visitors and staff.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently during assigned shifts.
Nice To Haves
- Prior retail or customer service experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for opening and closing the store according to established procedures: weekday “office” hours + home events.
- Coordinate student staffing for home events and ensure they are equipped for the duration of the event.
- Oversee store maintenance, including restocking and organizing on-site product displays.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of all retail areas.
- Oversee the above responsibilities for the Fall 2026 football games + select home events.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately.
- Provide a welcoming, helpful environment for customers purchasing Midland University apparel and merchandise.
- Monitor and confirm that staff discounts are being used appropriately in accordance with store policy.
- Assist with receiving, labeling, and displaying merchandise.
- Communicate low stock or inventory concerns to store management.
- Coordinate restocking with Ideal Images + getting inventory to Warrior Supply Co.
