Job Summary: Assist the department with a variety of duties. A Graduate Assistant will gain essential work and educational experience needed to obtain full-time employment in their chosen field. These tasks are to be performed in a manner that professionally, cordially, and efficiently assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Description of Job Duties: Assist with scheduling strength and conditioning workouts in cooperation with the head coach of each specific sport. Be present and punctual for all workouts with student athletes. Provide athletes with guidance and proper training techniques for free weights and other strength training equipment. Provide expertise in the area of strength (weight) training and physical conditioning as requested by the head coaches in all sports on campus. Assist in maintaining athletic weight room and keep records of all equipment in weight room. Assist in maintaining up-to-date records on the strength program of each team and specific individual workouts of every student-athlete. Abide by all NCAA compliance regulations concerning the strength and conditioning department. Other tasks as assigned. Terms of Employment: Employment at will Part-time, temporary Reports to Strength and Conditioning Head Coach Safety and job-related trainings will be completed as instructed Eligible to receive a tuition waiver and stipend each semester A Graduate Assistant should be working at a level higher than an undergraduate student employee.
