About The Position

The SIST Graduate Program Assistant will help in tutoring other graduate students, analyzing raw data and interpreting the results using SPSS, organizing scholarly work (conference, workshop, poster competition), leading ASQ-UCM student chapter to organize conferences on campus, recruiting and promoting the programs, and assisting program faculty in course delivery. The position calls for high research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Currently admitted to a UCM graduate degree program
  • 3.0 or higher graduate level GPA if previous graduate level courses have been taken
  • 2.7 or higher undergraduate level GPA if no previous graduate level courses have been taken
  • Familiar with online courses using Brightspace and multimedia
  • Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, SPSS, and MS Project
  • Attention to detail
  • Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal
  • Management and/or administration skills
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Human Relations/Interpersonal skills
  • Leadership skills: organizing, meeting facilitation, project leadership

Nice To Haves

  • Majors preferred in Industrial Management, Engineering, Technology, or Business
  • Knowledge of a University environment preferred
