About The Position

The graduate assistant will work with the director of Project NePTWNE in supporting various project needs. Work is expected to largely focus on the Center for Lake Erie Education and Research (CLEER) at the Blasco Library. This role aims to develop NACE Competencies including Career & Self Development, Communication, Critical Thinking, Equity and Inclusion, Leadership, Professionalism, Teamwork, and Technology.

  • Graduate student pursuing a MS in Environmental Science and Engineering or Education or similar degree at Gannon University

Responsibilities

  • Support various project needs for Project NePTWNE, largely focusing on the Center for Lake Erie Education and Research (CLEER) at the Blasco Library.
  • Gain an awareness of their strengths and weaknesses through active engagement with the public.
  • Clearly and effectively share information about the proper usage of technology within the center.
  • Monitor and respond to the needs of visitors to the center based upon situational context and logical analysis.
  • Work to ensure all people feel welcomed, safe, and included within the center space.
  • Employ their strengths to achieve the overall mission of the center.
  • Recognize their role within the public library and act in the interest of Gannon University and the larger community.
  • Work collaboratively, inclusively, and effectively with other team members to create a hospitable work environment and achieve the overall mission of the center.
