About The Position

The Employee Wellness Program in the Department of Kinesiology at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Graduate Assistant Pool. This is a pool of Graduate Assistants for the department to draw on as necessary. Appointments from the pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants may be offered employment on very short notice.

Requirements

• Candidate must be a currently enrolled graduate student in the M.S. program in Kinesiology
• Must be in good academic standing

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more exercise sessions of the Employee Wellness Program (EWP), ensuring that workouts are completed safely and that the facility is safe for exercising
• Create, review, and update programs and workouts for the exercise sessions
• Coordinate fitness assessments and goal setting of EWP participants and other clients (e.g., students and public)
• Tailor exercise sessions based on the needs of the program participants
• Train, co-supervise, and evaluate undergraduate interns and volunteers with the EWP director
• Maintain active participant data files, complete data entry and fidelity checks
• Review assessment results and goals with program participants
• Communicate regularly with program participants and with EWP director to provide program updates and schedule changes
• Assist with the administrative tasks (e.g., registration, attendance) necessary for the functioning of the EWP
• Provide additional research assistance, as necessary
