About The Position

The Graduate Assistant for SIL position oversees the A6/SIL welcome desk, coordinates the resource room, and assists with special projects. The GA will develop knowledge and skills in these major areas of responsibility: program coordination, student advising, budgeting, and assessment. The Graduate Assistant role is one that contributes significantly to the overall operation of SIL. The graduate assistant will be supervised by Director for SIL. This position will develop UA Career-Ready skills such as leadership, critical thinking, teamwork, communication and professionalism. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Enrollment in the Graduate College at the University of Arkansas.

  • Event coordination as an undergraduate student.
