About The Position

The Office of Admissions seeks multiple Graduate Assistants for the 2026-27 school year to provide interactive support to the Office of Admission and the admissions process; assist with the execution of the duties and responsibilities of the Office of Admission, assist with the execution of various on-campus events, as well as contributing to other departmental projects under the direction and supervision of the Office of Admission staff. The assistantship dates are from August 25, 2026 to May 9, 2027. These Graduate Assistantships provide 18 hours of tuition support for the school year (9 hours per semester) and the stipend of $10,464 for the year.

Requirements

  • An interest in working with prospective students and families
  • Attention to detail and great communication skills in a professional environment.
  • Schedule availability to work 20 hours per week between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
  • Some weekend and evening hours will be required.
  • The student must be conditionally or unconditionally accepted into a graduate program.
  • The students must have an official transcript on file indicating completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution or agency
  • After receiving an assistantship, the student must maintain at least a 3.0 graduate GPA in order to retain or reapply for the assistantship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with admissions recruitment, data analysis and outreach to prospective and accepted students;
  • Assist with On-Campus Admissions Events and programs for prospective and admitted students;
  • Assist with undergraduate freshman admissions process, which may include freshman application review and travel related to high school visits;
  • In coordination with supervisor, assist with the development and execution of a new project initiative to aid the efforts of the Office of Admissions
  • Provide superior customer service via phone, written and email contact, as well as personal interactions with students, parents and alumni;
  • General office and other duties as may be assigned;
  • Work an average of 20 hours per week (some weekend or nights will be required)
