Graduate Assistant (Football)
About The Position
The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM), part of the University of Arkansas System, is seeking a Graduate Assistant for the Football program. UAM is a comprehensive, residential and commuter institution offering undergraduate and selected master's degree programs, located in southeastern Arkansas. This position involves assisting the Head Football Coach with various aspects of the program, including practice preparation, travel, equipment maintenance, study halls, game day preparations, and film analysis. The role is a fixed-term appointment, less than annual. Sponsorship is not available, and the position is not work-study. Applicants must be admitted or eligible for admission into an approved graduate program at the University.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required
- Applicant must be full admitted or eligible for admission into an approved graduate program at the University
- Previous coaching and/or playing experience required
- Must apply skills to adapt to diverse situations
- Pays close attention to details
- Task oriented
- Understands the rules of the game
- Has a self-driven passion to learn
- Uses effective and efficient oral and written communication skills
- Punctual
- Stays abreast to NCAA, GAC, and institution rules and regulations
- Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment

Responsibilities
- Assisting the Head Football Coach with all practice preparations and drills
- Securing travel accommodations and meals
- Maintenance of team apparel and program equipment
- Overseeing study halls and game day preparations

- Other duties assigned as needed
