About The Position

Carthage College is seeking qualified applicants for the Campus Recreation Graduate Assistant position. The position can be a one-year or two-year track. Available programs include Master of Science in Business – Sports Management Track; Master of Education (M.Ed.); or Master of Science in Business – Design & Innovation Track. This role involves assisting in the planning and promotion of campus recreation programming, managing day-of-event logistics, supervising student employees, overseeing social media, maintaining facility presentation, and managing the Tarble Arena Video Board, Lighting, and music systems for athletic events.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required.
• Admission into Carthage College's graduate program is required.
• Previous experience working with recreation programs or facilities.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and promotion of all intramural and Campus Recreation programming.
• Assist with day-of-event logistics for every intramural and Campus recreation event.
• Supervise student employees for our campus recreation facilities.
• Assist student leads with the scheduling of student employees
• Run the social media accounts for Campus Recreation and Intramurals.
• Assist with maintaining a clean and inviting presentation in all of our campus recreation facilities.
• Oversee the running of our Tarble Arena Video Board, Lighting, and music systems to ensure a strong Gameday atmosphere for all Athletic Events hosted in the space
• Other duties as assigned.
